ryaman and poolosopher were chasing briarwoodrose..hey I say two against one is a bit harsh....still, this is war I suppose. Well good show briarwoodrose..you kept poolosopher back but couldn't stop ryaman bounding past.

Quiz Beagle and j2cp2 were battling it out..they're still battling it out. That's Invincibiles for you...tough..fighting until the last drop of blood is shed.

Every now and then we get a rogue accidentally stray onto the course...or was it? Is the pressure and fear of been horribly hammered getting to the red team? Is it?
Quick adjustment and everyone after 2nd get's to move up one...isn't that nice.
So well done to skipperdeedoo... ...3/2 for the red army becomes reversed to 3/2 to the blue army. You thought I wouldn't figure that one out all on my own didn't you? You were nearly right.

I could say how absaloutley fabulous jules is...but I think I might have said this before..so I won't. This battlefield is really testing pengy's resolution not to peek at the stats everyday. No willpower. First thing this morning I peeked. This is unbelievable...4 out of the top 5 to limbo under the guillotine were americans..and hello again poolosopher..were'nt you on cracking form.

Now I'm liking the look of RICKYBIKER and Johnny zipping along..bagging bonus goodies for the USA..but is it enough? The UK & Co are putting up stiff resistance this time...better than that ....Which army has stockpiled most points in their armoury! It's a tie! Yes it's true! What nervewracking stuff...no one's giving an inch (or 2.54 centimetres but it doesn't have the same ring).

It's never too late for either army to draft in reinforcements...so everyone pile in!

Anyone goes AWOL now and you might just risk been put up against a wall this time! Stern talk? You bet!

Well what a good show by my spiffy! And no one managed to get all 10 right yesterday..but this is the Final Frontier where it's tough and nasty and only the fittest survive.

First to fall ignobly into the Danger Zone..and first to courageously climb out of it was markswood. Ah..poor Qmel and dippo are languishing in there now.

But take heart I'm doing my bit to help you all and am busy keeping piranha at bay with my harpoon..and in the meantime anyone...just anyone could slither in the Pit. I can see four of you sliding dangerously close to the edge...a quick nudge and martin_cube... Deborah ... Stuhern or julieanne123 could find themselves in big trouble. You're safe until after play on Sunday..that's all.

Something has just occured to me..and as a gregarious pengy I feel impelled to share my observation with you. 4 out of the the top 5 finishers yesterday are galloping toward Godhead in the Challenge. Yes...this does mean next month they might not be hotfooting it across this battlefield.

Just now this has to be my fave quiz. I promised myself to divulge no more HQ stats. To exercise discretion. Like Janus that two faced guy...I turn a sorrowful face on one army...and with a wicked glitter to my eye...a sneaky grin on the other. The player that dares to have a day off..or stumbles and gets decapitated by the guillotine could cost his country dearly now. Oh the shame and guilt of it! Rather you than me..spectatorship and refereeing is best...if you're a regular reader of my chatty drivel you'll know which army was winning by a 100 bonus points two days ago. Well...that army is now -30. You read that right..that's a minus. They've lost control..the other side have whizzed ahead. The leadership is changing hands faster than you can say...Watch the 60 seconds guillotine!

Time for serious stuff...the whole war could well be decided on the mogul..one way or the other.

We have reached the Final Frontier...not an easy task and so congratulations are once again in order to any trooper who managed to avoid piranha's sharp little fangs.

8 Americans and 10 UK & Co survived the experience. Piranha's latest snack was mainly american fast food...5 out the 6 nibbles infact. Bonus goodies were won...and it was a fine effort from the blue army swinging the battle back their way with more toughies getting through.

3/2 for the USA....and I had tons of fave players..so I chucked their dog tags into my sardine can..shook them about and...out came briarwoodrose and datrivialist! Both got themselves PB's , no, that doesn't mean powerful ballistics..I mean a personal best. And both stormed home in the top 20 finishers too. Being an incurably curious pengy I peeked next in their profiles (some of you have even kindly filled in something for me to read)...wow! datrivalist has a load of goodies stashed in there! I thought the page would never load! Not to be confused with mos623's profile which just has a warning to the UK army.
Speaking of which in a hushed voice...I'm a day ahead here but I can't resist divulging some HQ stats. Yes, I know...Again! It's an occupational hazard to a referee.
This is exciting. Right. Brace yourselves everyone for an update.
Remember last month our devilish americans won the Challenge?..Well, they won all four battles actually but this is not the time to hurt Uk & Co morale. (That was lucky, I just nipped back in and edited that spelling error...I have no interest in UK players morals whatsoever)
No, THIS will hurt UK morale. The red devils are storming ahead again..massively, convincingly.. and are blitzing all the trenches as they burn their way to victory! Like the Terminator..they will not stop!

I say Qmel, you could have let miffy get into double figures on straight wins before you bopped him one. This makes you my fave Titan ...and earns you applause from all the red army. But..I just have to mention Doc too. Very well done there! Pengy likes the look of you.

If you had to think about that one I'm not offended. Think no longer. The UK storm troopers are playing terrific! It's not a massive lead ...the Americans could easily turn this around..but ...they'll have to get powered up and play early to stop getting beaten up.

Only 16 spritely sprinters wriggled under the 60 second guillotine yesterday. Well..it was movies.
This low figure is significant. 12 of the 16 were Americans.
When I last peeked it was a tie..then the USA had a measly 10 point lead..and then came movies. You already know where I'm going with this don't you?
The red army now have a 100 point lead. ..or 51% of the cake which is bigger than the UK's 49%. Come on UK..drag them bonus goodies back! You can do it! Never in the field of human conflict etc..etc...etc...or somesuch sage words from some great guy.

Oh..righto miffy, you fancied winning here did you? Then well done! I can see smoke wreathing out of the Pit. I believe that's cat brat63 cooking lobster down there. Offerings for piranha? Or beefing up the residents? That's very considerate cat brat..piranha like his snacks hot or cold.

Take heart UK! The Pit is almost full with american fast food for piranha. Sorry trooper2196...I don't think any of them will give you a leg up to get out. And it's so unlucky for poor cubswin2323 who's just dropped in. Next cull is after tomorrows play...and for those of you who read this tomorrow..PANIC!... that means today...(Tuesday 21st).

So..onto the gristley, grizzly gritty stats stuff. The team with the blue, red and white flag are winning this one. I'm been obscure, I'm sorry...not the one with the stars on. ..the other one. Yes UK & C0 you are back to your days of former glory and domination on this battlefield! And quite convincingly too..so take heart.

This means so far each army is winning two of the battles. Challenge and Mogul to America....Titans and Survivor to the UK.

BUT...overall leader so far is the USA with 50.7% of the potential pie.

UK & Co have a slightly smaller slice at 49.3%...and just think...if it hadn't been for those devilish red movies moguls yesterday it could have been the other way around!

Each morning now I jump out of bed and have a look even before I smoke a kipper.

Did you notice the abundance of UK talent? Yes I did too. Does this mean the UK are winning? Last raid at HQ had the americans winning by 5o points...after cleverly snatching the lead. But as pengy is boss and so at liberty to divulge any exciting news that is sheer masochism to keep to himself...guess what? They aren't leading anymore! Sorry USA...but I bet that made you sit up straight.
There's only a measly 10 points in it. Never before in the history of mogul warfare has it been so imperative that troopers report for duty!

piranha came circling yesterday and did not go away empty-jawed. It was KO2 day. I saw stringy bits of two Invincibles amongst the casualties. Piranha always prefer the tastiest morsels if he can get them.
