Results from HQ July 2018

Greetings warriors!

How did the greatest global war known to mankind go in July?
One thing ... it was fascinating! A true fight!

The Challenge.
The USA fielded 16 players , bagged 7011 pts = 50.007%
The UK & Co fielded 10 players, snatched 7009 pts = 49.993%

Was that close or was that close! I couldn't even slide a filleted kipper bone between you. 2 points. A meagre 2 points, but victory went to my American buddies and I enthusiastically rattled my hit-tech abacus to spit out the decimal points because I believe in precision in all things. Yes, I'm a slave to technology like that. Not bad for a penguin hey?
The USA won the July Challenge battle by ... a very measly margin.

With such a tenuous lead did the UK & Co managed to claw back success on the Survivor battle? Enough to win the war?
It was a fantastic nail-biting fight between jules44 (UK General) and suep (USA General)  .... right until yesterdays final foray into the trenches. But suep snatched it ... and led the US army to victory on the Survivor too.
The USA fielded 10 troopers, bagged 2253 points = 54.2%
The UK & Co also fielded 10 troopers, bagged 1902 pts = 45.8%

A big sigh of relief just flowed and rolled across The Pond to American shores. It registered on the Richter Scale. It did!

Final score for July 2018
USA = 52.1%
UK & Co = 47.9%

A round of applause and three cheers to our American friends who earned a fabulous win.
Take heart my UK friends. Your Union Jack, whilst doomed once again not to fly proudly in victory .... does make a nice throw to cover my bed. I'm getting quite attached to it.

So it's back into the trenches to fight the good fight and partake of the tasty nibbles to be had on the Survivor battlefield , all provided by our wonderful Qmel and MarchHare007. A bit of bratwurst and strawberry sponge cake sounds kinda tasty to me.
Please, no litter dropping on the battlefield ... careless crumbs can create a dangerous hazard to our brave competitors.
