Results from HQ January 2013

Wow ... hasn't the last month flown!

Does time fly by faster for a pengy referee than for a human warrior storming through the battle trenches of our fab UK & Co versus USA war?
Time to cease waxing philosphical. This war is important. It tests the mettle, mental perspicacity and body armour of the brave heroes and heroines who are wiling to stand up, enlist ... and fight for their beloved country. Even if it means nursing all those honourably won battered knees and kicked shins.

On to the results ....
The Challenge
The USA fielded 22 storm troopers ... and lasooed 6167 points = 47%
The UK & Co sent 24 warriors into the fray ... grabbed 6964 points = 53%
I say ... that was pretty close. My American buddies are reeling in the foe. Great work! But not quite good enough. I know ...it must be hard not to stumble into the cindered craters left in the wake of the UK's scorching heels as they wing to victory ... but ... I see Blackdress is back rallying the troops. Lovely to see you back, by the way. And along with Qmel's tasty performance enhancing nibbles on offer I suspect the American's will strike back ... they might be beat but I notice they're not surrendering the fight.
And an angry American is a Fearsome opponent!

The Survivor
The USA romped into battle and bagged 2047 vitally important points to stash in their arsenal = 32%
The UK & Co  ... the 'Destroyers' ... won a phenomenal 4439 grenades = 68%

Tactful silence from the pengy referee.

The overall result after combing both batttles (equals one war)
The USA had a final total of 40% of the spoils of war.
The UK & Co had a final total of 60%.
The UK & Co won the January War by a 20% margin.

It's hosting the Olympics last year you know. They're unstoppable now. I'm sitting here waving my flippers in applause! And yet ..... the USA put up such a hard fight in the Challenge, only to have it whittled away on the Survivor. As a pacificist I can't condone violence ... only incite it. So come on my American buddies lasso their legs ... nail their scalps to the totem poles .... and get them brain cells and clicking fingers working in enhanced performance mode. You can beat the UK. You did it once before.
Anyone for a cup of tea?

Five minutes later ....
I'm sitting in the trenches, panning the battle fields .... with splints and bandages within close reach.
And have I ever said this before ... thanks to all of you for making this such a fun war ... quiz ... I meant quiz as none of us take this at all seriously. None of us actually cares who is superior. The USA. Or the UK & Commonwealth.
Yeh, right. .... shrug into your battle harness and go get the enemy!
