4/1 for the USA. And j2cp2 swiped top spot on the leaderboard..and the red tide cometh..so soon? Naw...our nifty UK porky stopped a total stampede...that's OldSpotPig incase you're frowning. Everyone has got off to a cracking start...but no doubt about it, my fave player was donamaria....snatched 6th, snatched a PB. So much is happening I lay awake at night now..

Welcome back to flopsy and trinasam for the UK. That's the spirit..get recalling those troops. You'll need them ...a new american recruit came wriggling in under the wire last night. PDAZ...and landed in 12th place. A lucky start? Let's wait and see what the UK sharpshooters do to him .

Aw poor Stu...are you battered and bruised this morning? A lone UK surrounded by a pack of americans. They bite you know. The USA had a major victory here last month...might make them overconfident, might make them slip up...and with 2 ex-Invincibles down from Olympus will it get ferocious here or what? Could be Deborah and Stuhern will test Qmel who's determined to defend her crown. But having got off to a great start can poolosopher shake off pursuit?

My fave player just has to be him...pool...for setting the pace.

I'll speedily gloss over the fact that that's 3 wins so far for the americans on yesterdays quizzes. Just a passing remark...nothing special. The Mogul is their weakness...just another passing remark.And think...they won by only 30 points! That's just 3 UK players coming in on time...or not. It was a smidgin.

Why am I telling you this? I'm warmongering....shamelessly....I'm whipping you up into a tribal frenzy as only an impartial cutie pengy can without getting shot!

After 2 days running the gauntlet across the mogul (under fire from cat brat63's al fresco picnic) one team already has a 70 point lead.

Bet that made you sit up ...but I'm not telling.

Yep...the reigning Challenge Champ and she did it again and nabbed 2 in a row. Would like to say hello to a new contender here.

A warm welcome to glendathelama..sorry that's 2 l's..llama for coming to the UK's aid.

Has enlisted one day behind which landed her straight in the perilous pit...and OBC is down there plaintively shouting up for a ladder or rope but it's easy to fall in..Eebs has dropped in too. Cor...what a catch!

But congratulations to my fave players Deborah USA and Little Heaven UK for escaping...and LH must have wings she shot out so fast.

Now this month piranha has added a new twist to the quiz and as we'll both be creeping up behind to nudge you into the pit it's only fair I tell you of them.

The first 3 K.O rounds stay the same.

That is to say in fighting talk...culls of the bottom 25% of players occur on the 7th, 14th and 21st. The table is reset for a level playing field. You can still continue to play but your score will not be registered.

But now there is no knockout on the 28th.

Instead..after K.O on the 21st the board is reset for the last time. The survivors then get to battle it out.

Now here's the nasty new twist.

As months end approaches you will be kidnapped (eliminated) from the game until on the final day there are only 2 of you left in a play off. These 2 survivors have come from the previous days 4 players....these 4 are from the days before 8 players. ..whittled down from 16 the day before that. Simple but effectively deadly. Yes...instant daily elimination at the end!

When this brutal culling starts will depend on how many of you reach K.O.3 on the 21st and get to fight the Final Frontier.

Don't worry...you'll be warned in advance when the tough elimination will start and are likely to have 4 maybe more days to mass your points and scrabble up to safety at the top.

I hope I explained that okay...I'm only a simple little pengy who lacks human thought processes but it does mean only one of you will can claim to be The Sole Survivor.
