Merry Christmas To All My New Human Friends

Yep....that's me...the nervous little chump on the left ...looking down...afraid of falling over. The rest of my relatives are trying to fly. IQ zilch

I'd like to wish you all a Very Happy Christmas and For 2008 Wish You All Good Health , Success and Happiness

And now * a fanfare of party crackers...bells and whistles*

From Julieanne123 who will recite her poem

"Yet Another Shameless Rip-off of 'The Night Before Christmas'"

"Twas the month of December, and through all the lands
Came the clicking of mice clutched in quiz-soldiers' hands.

The armies were bunkered all deep in their ditches
While lobbing their ammo at various pitches.
And the Brits in their fog and the Yanks in their snow
Were scrabbling and sparring, trading blow for blow.
When up from the pond their arose such a clatter
I turned from my duel to see what was the matter.
The sun on the crest of the nearby ice-floe
Made me squint through the glare to see what was below.

When what to my wondering eyes should appear
But a black-and-white bird full of Christmassy cheer.
With his Roget's thesaurus and rapier pen
I knew in a trice it was The Great Penguin.
More bright and welcome than spring his words came
As he whistled, and cheered, and called us by name.
"Now Howie! Now Miffy! Now Vivtriv and Jacky!
On Midget! On Bluetwo! On Mos and on Donkey!
Go Blackprince! Go Mike! Go Sallyannh!
Go donamaria! Go, go Ryaman!
To the front of your pack! To the top of the wall!
Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"

And then, in a twinking, I saw him rush 'round
To the wounded and weary lying o'er the ground.
He was dressed in a tux somewhat spattered with mud,
And his suit was all splottched with the battlers' blood.
A bundle of bandages he had on his back
And he nursed all the ones who'd been hit by the flak.
He had a kind face and his little round belly
Shook, as he waddled, like a bowlful of jelly.
He was chubby and gabby, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed as I heard him, in spite of myself.
He babbled as he worked--cleaning wounds, setting bones,
Attending to bruises and soothing the groans.
Then sounding his whistle he sprang back to his floe,
Leaving us refreshed and prepared for the foe.

And I heard him exclaim ere he dove out of sight,
"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a clean fight!"

Ain't it great. Thanks julieanne123
