A moments silence please ...
For this a memorable day in the annals of warfare. The stuff of legends that shall be spoken of down the ages, to come ....
Four monthly battles will become 2.
But how did the two warring armies do in January?
The Challenge
The USA army fielded 27 players, nabbed 5799 pts = 42% of the spoils of war.
The UK & Co army fielded 25 players, nabbed 8041 = 58% of the bigger, better spoils of war.
The UK & Co army won the January Challenge battle by a pretty impressive 16%.
The Titan
The USA army fielded 6 brave, undaunted troopers, won 1803 pts = 25%
The UK & Co army fielded 11 wondrous warriors, won 5410 pts = 75%
The UK & Co won the January Titan battle, the last battle ever .... by a staggering 50%!
The Mogul
The USA army slithered under the 60 second guillotine and bagged 2050 pts = 35%
The UK & Co army wriggled like electric eels under the head chopper and bagged 3830 pts = 65%
The UK & Co army won the January Mogul battle, the last ever, by a stunning 30%
The Survivor
The USA troopers eluded capture by Piranha long enough to win 1885 pts = 34%
The UK & Co warriors avoided capture by the fishy fiend long enough to grab 3705 = 66%
The UK & Co won the January Survivor battle by 32%!
I rattled my abacus and pondered the final overall winner of the four combined battles ... never tobe repeated again ...
The USA = 34% of the spoils.
The UK & Co = 66% of the battle trophies.
The UK & Co won the January War by 32%.
What can this stunned referee say?
I know ... I shall nip off and dust off the thrones. Remember the good old days when we crowned our champs and payed homage to our great worthy heroes and heroines? Watch this space! I just need to drag out the thrones .... crack open a bottle of shandy ... and I shall reminisce.
I shall be back!
