Crowning Champs Day. February 2011 Winners
It was another UK & Co win ... once again the USA couldn't halt the blue tide from across the pond. Both armies have magnificent players ... else it wouldn't be such a good nailbiting scrap and still giving me as much fun as it did all those years ago when this war first started. Afterall, the referee surely has the most fun .... including jogging across the battlefields with bandages and splints to resuscitate the battle weary.
This is the day when we all pay homage to the best players from last month .... and remember their names and so learn to shudder when they come running up behind.
Challenge Champ & Mogul Maximus .... come on jules! Come and claim your duel crowns ... and that was not a typo .... I mean duel aswell as dual. Hammerdjh is certainly proving a courageous opponent and came in as top scoring USA ... but resistance is futile against jules. My american friends have many great Generals ... but ... will one of them ever manage to displace her? It might help to bring a machete along to sever her from her throne. I swear I can see roots growing there now. As I'm a natural born fawning diplomat may I congratulate you jules44 on your magnificence ... and stamina .... and great leadership qualities. And might I be so bold as to say I think you will never ever be beaten. There ... Pengy throws down the gauntlet and breathlesly awaits an American to prove me wrong.
Titanasaurus Rex ... and who do we have here? He's back! He stormed to victory ... and it's lovely to see him back amongst the ranks. WorldB come on up and claim your Titansaurus Rex crown and throne. You've never won this one before ... but was it a little tougher than you thought it would be? With Invincibles been ineligible here you'd expect it to be easier wouldn't you? Not so. There's some terrific tigerish fighters who show no mercy, give no quarter and the fighting is often close hand to hand combat with a winner sneaking out of the ranks. Often my most favourite battle ... well, excepting the Survivor where Piranha runs rampant, of course.
Sole Survivor .... and I confess I expected a double win here for our returned American General.... but no.
Will Rage come on up and claim his/her throne. Let the high tech super massager soothe those tired muscles. I have a sneaking admiration for anyone who can elude Piranha ... remain the Sole Survivor. Has Rage ever been in the Pit I ask myself .... as I'm sure many of you know it's nigh on impossible to climb out once you get stuck in the mud at the bottom, especially with everyone trampling on your shoulders and scrambling to get out aswell.
And no one is safe ....

Pengy hugs you and jets the fire extinguisher at your singed, smoking heels to cool them down and prevent and self-incineration.
So who not only fought well for their country but improved on their personal ranking from the previous month? Who climbed most places in the ferocious warzone known as The Challenge.
Absolute Top Mop .... and it's .... oh I'm overjoyed to be able to shout this from my mid-Atlantic ice floe .... our new reigning Top Mop is mos623. Come on up and claim your crown .... friend ... I have missed you. I did make mention of you last month, pining and saddened by your absence and as usual .. with uncanny synchronicity it acted like an evocation, you devilish rogue.
However ... a hug too for flopsy .... oh, it was so close and you were almost been invited to laze on the throne instead. So a round of applause too for flopsy ... there are no losers here ... only degreees of Greatness.

My Pengy laser like predicitive radar is wondering if the USA might win this month for they have some riproaring good players and dangerous Generals in their ranks.

Results from HQ for February 2011
It was short, fast and furious and it was brutal! 
Well ... February is a short month.
Our courageous American friends limped off Januarys battlefield.
Scalped. wounded and weary .... but did they come back fighting!
They surely did ... with rocket fuel pumping in their veins ... but was it enough to grab back control of the war or did their friends across the water still rule supreme?
Less chat ... more stats
Let's see.
The Challenge
The USA fielded 29 troopers, won 7226 points = 52.8%
The UK & Co fielded 29 troopers, won 6464 points = 47.2%
The USA army won Februarys Challenge battle by 5.6% .... they won this battle by 3.6% in January ... and won the month before that aswell! Are they good or are they good? Equal size armies but pure and simple, the better army won!
That's one UK scalp nailed to the totem pole. Bet that hurt UK.
The Titan
This one is always a good fight ...
The USA fielded their usual small, crack squad of 9 players, won 5201 points = 51.5%
The UK & Co, aiming to take the field by storm had 13 brave warriors, won 4891 points = 48.5%
The USA won the February Titan battle by 3%
The USA won Januarys by a nose ... only 0.06% ... but this month went out to prove they were
fitter, cleverer and faster of foot ... or, at scrolling and clicking their rodent jaws.
Good work USA, that's two UK scalps nailed to the totem pole.
Sticking with the theme of poles brings us to ......
The Mogul
Yup, that despicably dangerous one where wriggling under the 60 second guillotine makes all the diffference between earning bonus points for your country or getting skinned alive! Pengy apologises for the blood thirsty theme today, but war is war!
The USA slithered under the guillotine, and grabbed 2810 bonus goodies as they ran = 42.2%
The UK & Co rocketed underneath and grabbed 3850 = 57.8%
The UK & Co won ... and won very convincingly I might add by 15.6% ... the February Mogul battle.
Don't be disheartened my American friends .... last month it was an awful 26.8%
This is encouraging ... lasso and reel them in! You can do it!
But alas, not just now.
I hear alarm bells ringing now. I look fearfully at my one man bombproof shelter .... yes, soon I suspect I shall be running for cover.
Are the UK & Co about to storm to another success?
The Survivor
The USA army eluded the Pit and Piranha long enough to win 3270 points = 48.2%
The UK & Co army ran the gauntlet and avoided elimination long enough to grab 3510 = 51.8%
The UK & Co won Februarys Survivor battle by 3.6%
Last month it was 5%
Ah ... I suppress a sad sniffle and reach for my abacus ... and a tissue
Four battles make one war
And Februarys war comes in at ....
The USA = 48.7%
The UK & Co = 51.3%
Februarys victors are ... The UK & Co by 2.6%
In January the woad wearers won by 5%
Pengy prediction coming on!
Should I wash and iron a Star & Stripes ready .... it might be needed by the end of the next monthly war?
But for now .... Success, Glory and Acclaim are still with the magnificent UK & Co army ...
