Hello my friends!
It's September the First and Autumn is on it's way ... yes ... that means extra wet muddy trenches and clods flying from your feet as you sprint across the battlefields ... earning glory and all sustained by mouthfuls of heavenly nibbles from the smorgasbords.
So .. did either team partake of super performance enhancing foodstuffs?
The Challenge
The brave USA fielded 20 fabulous troopers, nabbed 7412 points = 44% of the spoils of war.
The UK & Co sent 19 warriors into the fray, nabbed 9381 points = 56% of the spoils.
The UK & Co army won the August Challenge by a resounding 12%!
Do you know? Do you want to know? That since this great global battle for supremacy began in July 2008, 612 fabulous patriotic fighters have enlisted? Many have fallen bruised and injured in the trenches .... many have scarpered! Fled and gone AWOL .... and it is the true heroes and heroines who now remain to fight it out on the 7th Tour of Duty.
Pengy applauds you ... you wondrously clever humans.
I digress ... penguins have a short attention span.
The Survivor
My American buddies won 2653 points = 36%
My UK & Co friends won MORE! 4852 points = 64%
The UK & Co army won the August Survivor battle ... by a mile! Or should that be a kilometre?
I'm furiously rattling my abacus here!
Overall result;
USA = 40%
UK & Co = 60%
The tissues monogrammed with the Stars and Stripes are been handed around as we speak .... the Union Jack is going to be hoisted up the flagpole on the Challenge quiz page.
I shall scamper over there now and get hauling on that rope!
Psst ... mdurnanj is one super player! Has sent a shiver down my spine ... or should I say my wetsuit tuxedo. Only just enlisted and is already an Invincible. Fear them for they are Great!
