Crowning champs Day
Greetings my human friends!
It's the first crowning ceremony in 2010 ... for our fabulous December 2009 winners.
Given the recent weather some of you have been having I nearly switched your comfy recliners for snow mobiles. But no ... your hi-tech, state of the art luxurious lazy lie-in thrones are plugged in ready and set to a snugly warm massage.
So with no more ado ...
Challenge Champ & Mogul Maximus. It's another double for our Made in the UK 
wonderful, unbeatable jules44! Dear deadly jules will you come on up and claim your throne. What can I say that won't sound banal? Well .. with 13 wins she was also the Challenge Daily Dervish. ..and surely 13 is lucky for some ... for she also notched up 13 wins on the Mogul. Congratulations jules44 ... you surely deserve the title of our all-time best trooper.
So who gamely offered the strongest resistance from the opposing army? A cheer for mos623 , top USA player for fighting to the death on the Challenge. And our top USA Mogul? Ah .. our Deborah ... I say does this mean that the girls are better than the fellas?
Titanasaurus Rex. Clue: 
She's done it before ..she's done it again and she's already taken the lead after one days play! It was a closely fought tussle for the crown though ... and for a time I thought martin cube or Quiz Beagle were going to trample her in the dirt. But no .. Qmel .. Mogul smorgasborder and trooper extraordinaire has filched the coveted Titanasaurus Rex crown , that's twice now, joining company with the other Elect 2 times winners .... Stuhern and poolosopher. Will she snatch it a third time and become the absaloute best? With Quiz Beagle and martin cube hungry for success and scubascott returned to the battlefield I shudder to think of the carnage this month. Terrifically exciting isn't it? My heart just gave a little thud then ... and the stretchers and aqua vitae are ready!
Whilst the USA grabbed the throne , the UK & Co army was the best in the trenches lead by UK top general martin cube ... well done there martin ... and for also been the Titan Daily Dervish with the highest total of 8 wins. Let's see what this month brings for you hey? Eek! Take care! Not only is Qmel already leading the charge .... scubascott is stalking you!

Dear markswood ... can I be presumptious enough to call you dear? will you come on up and claim your throne ... wriggle your little bum in that comfy upholstery. Nice isn't it? Don't be shy ... be proud... for you have joined the ranks of the toughest troopers...the rare few who can claim to have outwitted and outrun Piranha and escaped the Pit. Only five others have ever managed to elude those deadly jaws and now you are one of them and make the sixth. Pengy is real chuffed for you.
WorldB was the top American trooper and miffy42 was the Deadly Dervish with 9 wins.

Happy New Year & Have A Wonderful 2010 My Dear Human Friends
I had to say that first. This gregarious pengy has been waiting all year to say that!
I can relax and rest easy for another whole 12 months now ... so ... sentiment aside let's get straight to some serious warlike talk and sabre rattling.
The Challenge
USA fielded 30 troops, won 7808 pts = 51.3% of the christmas pudding.
UK & Co fielded 35 troops, 8633 pts = 48.7% of the trimmings. You know the things .. them inedible chewy bits of holly.
USA won the December Challenge battle by 2.6% .
pengy observation: Last month our American buddies won by 5%. The month before that was 8.8%. There's a pattern forming here for the statistically minded. Oooeerr ... my American friends... can you feel the UK & Co's hot breath on your neck? Do you feel a tingling between your shoulder blades as they train you in their sniper sights? How does it feel to be hunted?
The Titans
USA fielded 9 troops, won 1302 pts = 43.7% of the sauce.
UK & Co fielded 17 troops, won 3167 pts = 56.3% of the better, more intoxicating brandy sauce!
UK & Co win the December Titan battle by 12.6%.
Last month the dynamic woad wearers won by 14%. Whilst I own to privately admiring the courage of any heroic american who dares brave this battle I apprehensively gnaw my little lip .. and wonder... sadly... if we will never see an american team victory here. But, it has to be said, the fiercest fighting occurs here and this pacificist pengy finds it all rather exhilirating .. the tussle for the flagpole, the struggle to the last fighting breath to win the throne . .. the capture and tickling of the odd Invincible who strays into the trenches. No one takes me seriously you know.
The Moguls
USA bagged 3520 bonus goodies = 43% by slithering under the 60 second guillotine.
I say my Uk friends... just a thought ... aren't you glad it was only the French revolutionaries who thought of using that?
UK & Co bagged 4650 bonus goodies = 57% to stash in their arsenal.
Need I say more? Tact! Therefore I will not and will confine my lagubrious drivel to ...
The UK & Co army won the December Mogul battle by 14%.
The irrepresible statistician in my feels beholden to add that last month it was 16% ... before that 17.4%.
Ah! This is interesting ... the UK won by 1130 bonus points. Or put another way if 3.6 more American heroes had joined the ranks and snatched 10 bonus goodies a day it would have been a draw. Sorry about the .6. but as any politican will tell you these itty bitty percentages make all the difference... often helping clarify and manipulate something that would otherwise appear a totally fabricated lie or nonsense. Where would we be without that .6 hey?
So there you have it ... america you need to pressgang or enlist 3 and a half more mogul runners.
The Survivor
USA troopers nabbed 3455 points before getting devoured by Piranha = 42.5%
Remember .. it's how long you manage to survive... and
Uk & Co nabbed 4690 points before slithering through his jaws = 57.5%
The UK & Co army win the December Survivor by 15%
Last month they won by 8%
Time to zip my beak. I'm saying nothing. No comment.
After rattling my magical abacus over all four individual battles
The UK & Co have won the December war with 55% of the christmas crackers
The USA managed to salvage 45% of the wrapping paper.
Uk win by a 10% margin ...
last month it was 8%.
But now we have a New Year .. a new decade and that means four more new battles to fight!
and one harmless referee to cheer for you all!
