Well, the Roast Beef of Olde England is certainly to the Piranha's taste! ;-( Eight UK and Commonwealth players vanished into that greedy little maw, with only a brace of US. So, farewell for this month to trooper2196, polaris, jacky, blackprince (tut, tut - blue-blooded royalty too - that piranha probably is French...a friend of mine went to Paris and they treated him like royalty - they guillotined him...), skipperdeedoo, Lacey (always sad to see a Lacey go...), LauraMcC, martin_cube, Alien8 and milamtexan.

I'm sure it's the first time that I've typed your name - and it's not your fault that every time I see it I start reciting 'James, James, Morrison Morrison Weatherby George Dupree ...'), briarwoodrose, klahrace, MarchHare007, jacky and flicker123.

miffy42 tops the lot, with (I think...No Answers wrong!), followed by jules44 and lg549, the first US player arrives in the person of mos23, briarwoodrose, magijoh1 (how e.e. cummings would have loved you all!), Qmel, Deborah, morelli and mike32768.
UK & Commonwealth vs US Challenge:
jules, miffy, WorldB, ryaman, mos, strnog, Deborah, j2cp2, mike and markswood are those we all gaxe at in awe! Hmm, I know that I'm supposed to be colourblind, being a Beagle and all, but that looks suspiciously Red to me - to arms UK and Co!

Qmel, US chef extraordinaire, has been making sure of a fine supply of dairy products by picking up 4 of their Very Own Cows, and 3 sets of Free Milk Every Morning, plus a Money Tree and a Red Truck (to pick up produce, no doubt). Stuhern has acquired A Personal UFO (surely that should be an IFO, or does Stu go out every morning and think "What's that?") and miffy now has their own Personal Aircraft carrier (I say miffy, old bean, I don't think we're allowed to use gunboat diplomacy against the colonials any more...what's that? You just bought it for the sailors? Jolly good idea!)

Challenge Champ ...it's mos623! For the USA! He grabbed the throne in august too .... the only American to have ever parked his bum there.
Can I steal a hug mos? Can I? I haven't had fish for dinner today.... I abstained ... promise...take no notice of the rumours that I have halibut breath.
Mogul Maximus .... Ah ... another M. It's my spiffy miffy42 ... UK hero . Miffy42 don't be bashful ... brace yourself for a hug and come and claim your throne. It's been a while since you sat on one and had to endure a pengy hug. But remember ... No pain, no gain!
Titanasaurus Rex .... Come on up StuHern ....you've been on this throne before and what's more, you've joined the elite company of poolospher who was, up until now the only troooper to have won this crown twice! Only you two can claim to have done that. Gee ... this pengy is hanging mouth open with admiration. I'm sorry ... was that a whiff of halibut made you wrinkle your nose?
Sole Survivor ... Last month piranha made a vow to capture an elusive multi-champ, and whoopee he did'nt get away. Except yet another M ... avoided the Danger Zone ... everyone cheer .... and mike32768 will you come on up and take your place as Sole Survivor of the toughest battlefield of them all!
I've donated a crate of shandy each for you all to carry back to Olympus. Four champs, all of them Invincibles.

Hello my UK & Co friends .... and my American buddies
I've rifled HQ and the results are gripped in my flipper ... and it's shaking.
Must need another glass of shandy! One is not enough!
So...how did it go? Did my American buddies manage to trounce the UK & Co and restore national pride? Do penguins really drink shandy?
Who knows ... indeed who cares?
The Challenge
Now this was a fearsome fight my friends and had me sitting on the edge of my shandy keg swinging my little legs with glee..and not a bit of nervousness.
The USA troops were surely led to glory by General mos623. Or were they?
USA fielded 27 troopers , won 7363 pts = 53.2% of the pumpkin pie (it's Halloween afterall when humans act decidely strange)
UK & Co fielded 36 troopers, won 8639 pts = 46.8% of the pumpkin seeds.
Trick or Treat!
USA , the smaller army, the smarter army, won the October Challenge by 6.4%.
It was a USA win by 8.8% in September ...Hah!
Know what this means? The UK & Co are fighting back! Sort of ... slowly.
The Titan
Don't be despondent you woad wearers ... that gruesome stuff daubed on your face works! It inspires terror! Only 7 admirable, patriotic Americans dared to take you on!
I did spot mos623 USA and skipperdeedoo UK had infiltrated the battle zone ... they just wanted to be captured and tickled right?
USA fielded only 7 troopers ... and I reckon they deserve a medal....and they snatched 806 pts = brace yourself ... someone get ready to catch them.... = 37.2%
Ouch!
UK & Co fielded 17 killing machines and bagged 3313 pts = 62.8%
Rarely has a battle been so bravely fought by so few ... they fought them in the trenches... they fought them at the flag pole ... I digress again .. that's...what's his name isn't it?
Blood, toil, tears and sweat ... but that isn't... he filched that one. ( From Teddy I believe but there you go. All's fair in love and war , so they say)
The UK & Co absaloutley, no question, undoubtedly won the October Titan by a massive, soulcrushing 25.6%
I'm ladling this on a bit thick aren't I?
Come on my american buddies .... don't let them get away with it!
They'll be taking scalps next time! Pile in there and show them what for!

The USA bravely bagged 3220 bonus goodies in their arsenal. Good work = 41.3%
The UK & Co . Even greater work, bagged 4580 pts = 58.7%
The UK & Co won the October Mogul by 17.4%.
Another blow to USA pride .... Argh ... Did I see Eebs pop her head in the other day? Come back Eebs ... your country needs you!
The Survivor
USA won 3160 points for evading the Danger Zone and those snapping jaws = 43.3%
UK & Co won 4135 for doing it oh so much better = 56.7%
UK & Co won the October Survivor by 13.4%
I shall speak with tactful tongue ... the USA is suffering, struggling to overcome the might of the British Empire!
But all is not lost ... my American buddies won the Challenge with the smaller army! What does this mean? Bravery. Determination. Courage.
But can they ever.......... ever ..... stop the conquerors in their tracks?
Overall ,over the 4 individual battles, after rattling my abacus and smacking it hard with my harpoon (technology is a terrible thing) .... HQ declares that
USA = 44%
UK & Co = 56%
UK & Co won the October war by 12% (last month they won by 8.8%)
Hip hip hooray to the UK & Co
Qmel you'd better start adding those isotonic additives to the smorgabord nibbles! Or beg some rocket fuel off NASA. Send Alien8 ...they'll give him some I'm sure.
