mike32768 very kindly pointed out what a twonk I was. I had taken the players In Danger when I wrote my last post and killed them all off! So, to put the Last One Standing right:
Leading is the very same mike32768, in second place is WorldB, so we have the US in one and two, with paper_aeroplane and miffy42 fighting for the UK and Commonwealth. In Danger (but not gone!) are Stuhern, Deborah, mos623 and Clamking.

Stats Leaked From HQ. Who's Winning So Far
I've dived out of my bombpod .... with the latest stats from HQ held tightly in my little flipper.
We've had 10 days play ... well...you have...I've just been running along the sidelines with my team of pengy stretcher bearers and howling encouragement. ...and it's tremendous fun too I might add.
So how goes it?
The Challenge .... so far
The USA have fielded 24 troopers and so far snatched 2290 points = 51%
The UK & Co have fielded 33 troopers and so far snatched 3024 points = 49%
Wow! The smaller army is smarter! They're winnning.
I say my American friends what a crack squad you are! Wait a minute whilst I rummage in the bottom of my kipper barrel..... here it is!

It's an American. It's WorldB and did you know that since TT started 15 months ago (that's tournament time by the way)..that he's snatched vicory 7 times. This is like showing a red rag to a piranha .... I've seen the way piranha's eyes linger hopefully on WorldB. Pick your feet up .. don't dangle your legs when you sit on your throne!
It's misty up on the peaks of Olympus today. I pan my telescope trying to pierce the gloom..ah...I give the lens a wipe .. that's better.
I can see them .. the fearsome devils .. looking down upon the battlefield. Clever little critters .. striking fear into every troopers heart when they descend and run roughshod. Did you know they have icicles? It's it mite cold up there. That explains the crunching noise when they sprint past. Poor mites ... wrap your extremities up warm my friends!

I say isn't all this celebrating exciting? But there's a new war on now and I'm swivelling my telescope around to garner some intelligence.
Hah....jules is under attack on the Challenge from some determined Americans. strnog1 is out in the lead with WorldB. What brave chappies! but is resistance futile?
So far Deborah is in the lead on the Mogul but with jules44 and StuHern alredy hot on her heels...can she fend them off? she's very good is Deborah ... a little dynamo on legs and was the top American Mogul last month.
Hmmm....American Titan recruits seem to be an endangered species. Only three. Surely the mighty fame of the UK army hasn't frightend them off? And Stu's back too. I'm looking forward to a good fight there this month but without twosleepy it's left to cubswin2323 ... poolosopher and klahrace to fight the good fight. I'll get the splints and bandages ready then shall I?
Take heart though my American buddies. This morsel of news will cheer you up. Peep down if you dare, without falling in, into the Survivor Danger Zone. Yikes..the Pit is full of UK & Co players! Not one American has been captured. I do believe this is a first!

Some musings While You Wait...
I see that Life seems to have got in the Penguin's way, so while the Victors are waiting for crowns, thrones and all that Jazz, I thought I'd ramble on a bit about Awards. It's surprising how few have been 'bought'(with some notable exceptions...) Are you all saving up for Something Big? (I am, but it's A Secret...) Last month, Helmar bought a Mummy Cat and 3 kittens, a Happy Personal Whale, a kitten & a puppy & a ball. I don't know where the Happy Personal Whale fits in, unless it's planned Cat Food, in which case it will no doubt become an Unhappy Personal Whale (reminds me of that famous Vera Lynn song "Whale Meat Again..."). Qmel has acquired a ton of stuff over the year (far too much to list, although I shall be keeping an eye on all purchases from here on in...) Other Happy Shoppers include BB1, Flicker123, LauraMcC, Norabee, MarchHare007, Dippo, Sparklingwine and Bernie73 (or 13, I can't read my own writing...) Well, carry on all - remember there's only 85 shopping days to you know what...
Tournament Stats September 2009
These stats are so hot my little flippers are scorched!
The USA won the August war .. to me, a simple minded pacifist pengy this promised an exciting war for September. The UK & Co in revenge mode can be a fearsome thing to behold!
Was honour restored? Or did our American buddies hammer home another victory?
Let's get to it ... it's cruel to prolong the supense when your nerves are shredded ... my flippers are gnawed down to the elbow!
The Challenge
USA fielded 26 rampaging killing machines , won 6802 pts = 54.7% of the pumpkin pie. (I like pies)
UK & Co sent in 36 dashing devils, won 7794 pts = 45.3%.
Ah. ... once again the smaller, dare I say smarter army won! I retract that now ..
I love both armies! All humans!
USA win the September Challenge by a comfy 8.8%.
Last month it was total annihilation with an 18% win for the USA. Seriously ... no one expected the UK to take such humiliation lying down did they? That stiff, upper lip must still be trembling though...what will it take to beat the USA?
What a nice start for the red army ... one battle win tucked in their grenade belt.
The Titan
USA fielded ... just a minute whilst I recount my digits in quiet amazement ....
Only 6 troopers. Tssk ... these 6 deserve a medal. By the way I have undying sneaky admiration for you 6 ... you're so very brave!
USA won 773 points = 41.2% of the pie.
UK & Co .. fielded 18 ... yes 18 ... won 3316 pts = 58.8%
Yikes ... the UK & Co Titans did it! Totally mashed and macerated the opposition into the mud. I confess to spotting one or two dazed Amerians stumbling about in the trenches.
UK & Co win the September Titans by a thumping 17.6%.
Well USA .. I wouldn't let them get away with that. They'll be getting smug next.

You know something my friends, I'm not a cowardly critter , much,.... but I'm craning my head over the parapet here ... just judging the distance and speed needed for a desperate dash to my bombpod.
USA won 3190 bonus goodies ... whilst darting and dashing and evading piranha.which = 44.5%
I have one leg slung over the parapet ...my best sprinting leg.
UK & Co won 3975 bonus goodies ... with much better evasion tactics... = 55.5%
Bet you blue woad wearers are cheering already!
UK & Co ... have snatched back glory by winning the September Survivor by 11% ... after being beaten last month.
If you're a mental contortionist you'll have matched my abacus which spits out that over the 4 battlefields ...
