One of you is going to hug me..I hope...and the other team is going to hit me...I hope (NOT).

Right troopers here's comes the official, written in stone
damning results from penguin HQ.

Right.
The USA Won....

Yes! Alongside the greatest generals and explorers...
the troopers who dared play the Challenge and Mogul
will be famous....revered...mythical heroes.

The Challenge.
UK & Co fielded 59 players and nabbed 15552 points = 51.25 % of the cake.
USA fielded 54 players and nabbed 13542 points = 48.75% of smaller slices.
UK & Co win....by a skinny margin of 2.5% (It was 8% last month...bit of a difference there hey what))

Huh...you say..how come the USA won then?

With magnificent Mogul power that's how!

The Mogul
USA fielded 31 troops...a crack squad I might add.
Won 4970 bonus goodies = 51.7%
UK & Co fielded 40 troopers....and went down fighting.
Won 4630 points = 48.3%
USA win by 3.4% or 340 points

And that Mogul win my friends was enough to clinch it.
Combined total scores.
USA 50.2%
UK 49.8%
USA win by .4%...Cor..that's less than half a percent...a whisker..a hairsbreadth..a sliver of dental floss

Well Done America For Winning the March Battle!

But...lastly we have 2 new crowns to plonk on our new champs heads.
We have a new Challenge champ....please midgetmark take a bow...accept your sceptre and reclining throne. Comfy hey?
And...our new Mogul Maximus is jules44. Long Live Jules44...who amazingly managed to depose miffy42 who has held the noble office since the Mogul began in September.
I will not offer pity...for I know miffy will be back.
I'll let the two new champs lead the Invincibles upto the cable cars going to Olympus...(you did'nt really think they had to climb did you?)

I'll see you all tomorrow...but now...I'm going to raise my glass (non-alcoholic of course) to the USA for a fantastic win...after running behind midmonth they snatched glory and all played like little Titans.

You would'nt think we were a hairs breadth away from Judgement Day...not with performances like this. Tired and worn out? Never. It's professionalism..that's what it is. Never Say Never and all that.
My fave Challenge player was Deborah...had to be... biffed her way into 5th and a PB too. But sparklingwine nabbed a PB too and romped in 9th.
And would you believe it...goldbob and mfc are still locked in combat..though mfc is getting the upperhand.
So how goes it out there today? Wow...the americans are blitzing the battlefield and building blockades on the Challenge. Where are the UK & Co? I was kidding yesterday about mass desertions you know. Top 5 players so far are mos623 USA...j2cp2 USA...tihata USA...mike32768 USA and goldbob USA. Will this last?

And the Mogul?

But did you notice...7 out of the top 10 were americans. My fave Mogul was an american too...TAKROM.

You'd think by now everyone would be tired...out of puff...running on sheer willpower alone. Might be too for all I know...but the results are still good...and I'm oohing an arring in adoring admiration. And do I lay the flattery on abit thick? Of course. and I make no apologies. You're my friends.
My fave Challenge player was thereds4ever...came home 3rd...is 9th overall..and that's only running the gauntlet 12 times. Must make him the highest achiever.
Ya have to admire this tenacity....goldbob and mfc are still trading punches.
solan goose has notched up a few bruised noggins in the last few days too. Wondering what a noggin is? It sits on your shoulders on it's pedestal.
Bernie73 and Howie72 are fighting right upto the wire aswell.
As are burnsbaron and Marsalinator. Careful squisher..there's more to this than meets the eye...they're both plotting to sneak into the Top 25 Toughies for Hall of Flame fame and oust you out.
This is tremendous stuff.

And the Mogul?
Yesterdays best History Mogul was miffy42#1 UK

A moments silence for miffy. Current holder of both crowns. The days of gory glory are in double jeopardy. But what a brave little fighter! Now put the tissues away... my fave Mogul was CRAZZYMAN...I have a soft spot for CRAZZYMAN...he was one of those responsible for helping me dream up this quiz. So for those of you who secretly believe it's purgatory here...well...it was CRAZZYMAN.
Now....unlike the Challenge where I have to rattle my abacus to produce convoluted stats to find the winner the Mogul is easy. I think the americans can be quietly confident they're going to win. I will not applaud yet...or break open the bubbly and boozy stuff....there might be a massive powercut all over the USA or all the broadband providers go bankrupt overnight..or all the team suffer amnesia...so I won't tempt Fate. I'll keep my flippers crossed for you instead.
We have a new player to welcome too...yes I know...been a while since I've welcomed anyone has'nt it. Word must have got around and deterred the fainthearted. So a Warm Welcome to aussierulez...a Commonwealth friend come to help the UK & Co team. Good timing that...a day to settle in before the new battle begins. Could be the UK & Co are going to be under real pressure soon and a few new talented recruits will boost morale.
Still...enough of this...it's fried chicken today...one of my fave foods.
I promise not to sling the bones all over the course and trip you up.Wait for it....that would be fowl play would'nt it!

Isn't it just lovely when no one gives up the pressure as months end draws nigh. If anything the fighting is getting tougher...more ferocious. The Three Mouseketeers were certainly in fine form yesterday and putting in a fine performance for the UK & Co.
My fave Challenge player had to be mhallesy for squeezing into the top 10...you might have seen me my friends...screaming and jumping up and down at the finishing line with my chequered flag. Can't help it...I'm getting excited and like to get involved. Mind you... I jumped up and down when Qmel whizzed past aswell...for a bravely fought 13th...and flicker123 for nabbing 16th. This morning I'm horse.
I was having a peek at the maybe/possibly/potentially not allowing for major mishap and upsets final rankings. Who I wonder could become the new Top 10 countries Invincibles and get to live on the desirable residence called Olympus?
This is not an honour to be sneezed at....oh no. Fame, national hero status...yes...and undying admiration off a penguin.

And my fave Mogul ws Wittmann...who? Wittmann...a new recruit who only joined yesterday and filched bonus points on his/her first Mogul run. You have to admit that's good...for the UK & Co at any rate. * discreet cough* Though they're still losing.

Well, lg549 has goldbob attacking his flank...with argentum to add to the pressure. But hey...the UK & Co cavalry is coming...mfc and sparklingwine are coming to the rescue. That's the team spirit!
And kjc was'nt standing for any messing and biffed purelyqing and sprinted out of harms way.
Tell you who does'nt get easily frightened...solan goose. He's outrun the hunting pack and gone to help BrillBrit catch NEWSoUSA. Watch out NEWoUSA...no one takes prisoners this late in the month!
So what does this mean for the remaining hunting pack...did the combatants scatter? No they did not! No one can be accused of cowardice here! Oh dear miffy...I think it's a case of Double Jeopardy with your crowns. It was a lot to ask...fending off such a squad of talented competition. And...the americans are stretching further ahead on points...nay...charging ahead.Don't think they can be stopped now. Not with only 4 days play to go. They're devilishly clever...I know what they're doing....they'll be bagging as many points as they can to offset the Challenge. Have they found the UK's Achilles Heel?
Cor I've just peeped over there and 4 out of the top 5 are americans. Like that...have to cheer that. Think I'll go snoop on the Challenge today for a change...

Yesterdays super duper Sci-Tech Mogul was Eebs#5 USA

I like Eebs....I think she's very good and I like her....so I'm cheering for her. And my fave Mogul was Quiz Beagle....matched her own PB for the third time...ouch...it's that frustrating time when you get stumped! Can't burst through that bubble. I bet a few of you just grimaced and nodded in sympathy then.
I have to say this...and I hope it ain't going t0 prove to be the Kiss of Death...but I have a premonition the americans are going to win the Mogul this month. Caught up...took the lead and have bounded off leaving a trail of dust. Uk & Co if you're gonna catch them you'd better pull out all the stops...starting now! Mogul has'nt been this close for months.
A quick peek over the parapet and oh my goodness...there's a righ scrap for first on the Challenge...everytime I peep the lead has changed! Mike32768 is currently flying from the mast...but will he hang on or will he prised off by some cheeky usurper. And hi there Bee...it's great to see you back.
And the Mogul....it's miffy laying down the Law...intent on defending his crown.
And what's more it's something sausagey for treats....a lovely concoction from cat brat...so I'm off for a nibble...

Close Encounter of the Third Kind...Burnsbaron stood his ground..but two americans to beat...a tough job and hemisphere nipped past whilst Turnbaby provided covering fire.
Close Encounter 4) And the title..Player Extraordinaire has to go to our furry canine...Quiz Beagle. Not only did she outrun poolosopher...and Deborah and TAR fan...but she's nippng now at the heels of Marsalinator. Watch out for those sharp pointy little gnashers Mars. (gnashers = teeth = food macerators a gummy penguin does'nt have).

Have to hand it to the americans....looks like they won this one.

What's that then?...4/2 for the USA in the private duels arena. As adjudicator I'd like to point out that burnsbaron was cruelly ambushed and outnumbered....and that Quiz Beagle was fantastic. There...that redresses the balance.

That means he's only 22 points behind jules44...bent on stealing his crown. My fave Mogul player was ...mikew41...yes I know...already mentioned him but just had to sing his praises again because he's putting himself about abit, running himself ragged and doing the business. In short...he's good.
I was feeling lazy...stuffed with choccy eggs so I have'nt updated the Mogul....or it could be I wanted to keep you all in dreadful suspense...hee...hee...so I'll toddle off now and see whether the UK have managed to catch the USA...and catching is one thing, overtaking is another.

Not long now till Judgement Day...it shows too. The top 25 Toughies are guarding the foothills of Olympus and allowing no one in...or out. Oh yes...this is a significant win too...it meant jules stole the lead in the Mogul. This tug-of-war between miffy and jules is set to continue to the bitter end.
You'll run yourself ragged miffy trying to hang onto two thrones...but best of luck! My fave Mogul was solan goose..came storming in with a PB and muscled in amongst the top 12.

Whey hey...all raise a glass...or an easter egg for shadowzep. It goes without saying that with such an impressive PB aswell shadowzep just has to be my fave Mogul.
But someone else made my little eyes glitter with pride...poolospher...yes he did...fought his way into an impressive 3rd place and swiped a PB too. Is there no end to these PB's?
I had a look at the Mogul stats again...it's compulsive viewing now you know. Imagine me...devouring easter eggs, tucked in bed, messing my beloved eiderdown (the Stars & Stripes) with melted chocolate.....and how appropriate...

The USA are stretching ahead....can't be stopped it seems and I have'nt added the Movie bonuses in yet....say no more. Soon this could be catastrophic for the UK & Co.
It made me think though....americans are tops at Movies....so I had a peek see who did best on which subjects. I like to know these things...sorry if you don't..jump skip to the bottom.

Official Announcement: New Mogul Leader....jules44 has swiped the lead from miffy42. Oh dear miffy...double reigning champ...weighted down with the Challenge and the Mogul Maximus crowns. And whey hey...congratulations to jules44. Now you just have to sprint off ahead!

America is still leading...by 110 points.
But it's Easter and so the Uk & Co might be preoccupied..wait till next week, perhaps then they'll be able to lay their traps and catch out the americans. Remember though...tomorrow is Movies again...americans are good at Movies.

Honest...I kid you not. Though the UK & Co are fighting tooth and nail...the americans are gonna romp off...I can feel it in my bones. Oh and I'm loving every minute of it...UK...you're gonna have to lasso them and bring them down like in those Wild West movies.

My fave Mogul player was ...it's hard...with so many of you pulling out the stops. But I rather liked Eebs...she's doing real well just now...won the Challenge ...a mammoth task these days...and came 2nd yesterday on the Mogul. Versatility...I like that.
